Nationwide Openings: Laborers & Operators Wanted $175 PerDiem
The Construction Laborer will support the construction crew by performing a variety of physical labor tasks on the job site. Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting skilled workers with tasks like demolition, carrying pipe, and other construction duties.
- Unloading materials (e.g., pipe, tools) and distributing them as directed by the supervisor.
- Preparing the layout of the construction area by measuring, marking, or recording required openings.
- Preparing tools and materials (e.g., cables, pipes) for skilled workers.
- Cleaning and preparing the job site, including digging trenches, erecting scaffolding, and removing debris.
- Operating hand and power tools.
- Directing traffic near the work zone for safety.
- Assisting equipment operators with machinery adjustments and alignment.
- Cleaning up the job site at the end of the day, ensuring proper storage of materials and equipment.
- The role also requires the ability to lift heavy materials, work in various weather conditions, and travel extensively (200+ days per year). A CDL license and OSHA certification are preferred
- Physical Strength & Stamina: Ability to lift up to 80 pounds and push/pull loads of 50 pounds. Ability to stand, walk, and climb for extended periods, often carrying materials.
- Basic Arithmetic: Ability to count and take inventory.
- Teamwork: Ability to work effectively with others and be flexible as tasks change.
- Communication: Good communication skills for interacting with supervisors, coworkers, and the public.
- Tools & Equipment Handling: Ability to safely operate hand and power tools.
- Work in Varied Conditions: Ability to work in different temperatures, weather conditions, and exposure to construction site hazards.
- Safety Awareness: Must be able to identify and follow safety procedures on a construction site.
- Physical Inspection Skills: Ability to traverse and inspect all areas of the jobsite, including walking, bending, and stretching in different environments.
- Assist Skilled Workers: Support tasks like demolition, carrying pipes, or other construction duties.
- Material Handling: Unload and distribute materials (e.g., pipes, tools) as directed by the supervisor or project specifications.
- Site Preparation: Measure, mark, and record openings or distances to prepare construction areas.
- Tool and Material Preparation:Prepare materials such as cables, pipes, and wires for use by skilled workers.
- Site Cleanup: Clean and prepare specific areas of the job site, including digging trenches, erecting scaffolding, and removing debris or hazardous materials.
- Operate Tools: Safely operate a variety of hand and power tools.
- Traffic Control: Direct traffic around work zones to ensure safety.
- Assist Equipment Operators: Help align, move, or adjust machinery, equipment, or materials.
- End-of-Day Cleanup: Clean up the site, dispose of trash properly, and store materials and equipment safely.
- Other Duties: Perform additional tasks as assigned by supervisors.
